Picdrop Costs in 2026: All Pricing Plans, Storage Limits, and Suitable Alternatives
A subscription that keeps running in January? Or paying only for what you actually deliver? Before you decide, it pays to look at the numbers: every picdrop plan, the storage limits and what a year costs.

What does picdrop cost? The short answer
With annual billing, picdrop gives you two months free. For most solo photographers, Pro is the plan that matters. picdrop itself calls it the most popular choice.
One thing worth remembering: At picdrop, unlimited galleries does not mean unlimited storage. Every plan has a fixed quota; there is no option without a storage limit. That number is what determines your costs.
All picdrop plans in detail
Free is meant for hobbyists and trying things out, and includes the basic features. The difference to PictoMento: there, the first three galleries are free, each stays online for twelve months and holds up to 5,000 photos.
Pro is the entry to the paid plans. This is where the pro features come in: your own branding, presentation mode for image delivery, image approval features, unlimited video playback and direct camera upload via Live Push.
Advanced is aimed at photographers and studios who work in a team. It adds up to 10 collections and more inboxes.
Business adds unlimited collections and individual permission settings. Enterprise is aimed at large teams with their own SLAs, contracts and individually expandable storage.
New plan structure since May 2026
If you remember older prices: picdrop has restructured its plans. The new structure has applied to new customers since 12 May 2026. The former Lite plan was discontinued, Pro is now the entry plan, and Advanced is new. That's why many older comparisons online still list plans that no longer exist in that form.
Pay monthly or annually?
With monthly billing you can cancel every month, but you pay more. With annual billing you save two monthly fees and are committed for a year in return.
Storage: the real limit
From Pro upwards, galleries are unlimited, storage is not. And it fills up faster than you'd think.
The reason: picdrop doesn't delete anything on its own. Your jobs end up in the automatic archive and stay stored until you remove them or set an expiry date. So every wedding takes up storage until you clean up.
Example calculation: A wedding with 600 JPEGs at 8 MB each takes up around 4.8 GB. With 25 weddings a year, that's about 120 GB. The 500 GB in the Pro plan will be full after roughly four years if you delete nothing. Much sooner with videos.
If the storage isn't enough, picdrop offers add-ons:
With extra storage, Pro on annual billing comes to around €276 a year. If you need more than 750 GB, you have to switch to Advanced.
What happens when you cancel?
After cancelling, your account automatically switches to the Free plan at the end of the paid period. Your galleries and files remain stored. However, anything beyond 3 galleries or 1 GB can then no longer be accessed or downloaded by your clients.
That's common with subscription models, including ours: when PictoMento's Unlimited package expires, the galleries are no longer available either.
This matters if you're thinking of booking picdrop only during peak season. In winter, the summer galleries would then be out of reach for your couples.

PictoMento works without a mandatory subscription. You pay for what you deliver:

- Pay as you deliver: €10 per gallery, one-off. The gallery stays online for a year.
- Unlimited: €199 per year for unlimited galleries, no overall storage limit
- Fair use per gallery: up to 5,000 photos and 20 videos

Where picdrop is cheaper
Honest answer: from around 18 galleries a year, with annual billing and as long as 500 GB is enough for you. The difference to our Unlimited package is then around €19 a year.
picdrop is also the better choice if approval rounds are your daily business: commercial shoots, agencies, editorial teams. picdrop is also ahead if you need password protection or team access. PictoMento offers neither.
Where PictoMento is cheaper
- Up to 17 galleries a year. With 6 galleries you pay €60 instead of €179.88.
- Always, compared to monthly billing. picdrop Pro then costs €215.88 a year, PictoMento €199 at most.
- Seasonal business. In winter, no subscription keeps running when no gallery goes out.
- Lots of material over the years. As soon as picdrop needs extra storage, Pro comes to around €276 a year. Unlimited stays at €199, no matter how many galleries pile up.
- Print revenue. Your clients order prints directly from the gallery and you receive a licence fee. picdrop has no shop.
More than a question of price
The two tools solve different tasks. picdrop is designed for fast, functional sharing: a plain, sober interface built for selection and approval.
PictoMento is built for the moment your images arrive. The gallery carries your colours, fonts and logo and feels like part of your brand, not like a download folder. With face recognition, every guest finds their own images instantly, bundled in a personal “For you” chapter. At a wedding, that's often the difference a couple remembers.
